Music Projects (bands)

Trained in classical piano from an early age, Nick was the keyboardist in Voodoo Sun 2000-2003 based out of Rock Island, IL playing both original and cover music. 2005-2011 Nick was the keyboardist for the St. Louis, MO band The 5100’s performing blues/rock covers spanning from 1965 - 1975.

Vintage collecting

A shared love between Nick and Antonia, antiquing across the country. From the rolling midwest to the pacific and inland northwest to quaint cali towns to desert dwellings with coveted digs. These items had a life well lived and collecting these continued their living history. Items such as antique cameras, horse hames, radios, art-deco sconces, compelling furniture, choice vinyl records, and were suckers for window frames.

Music Projects (solo)

Nick’s 30+ years playing piano and 15+ years playing guitar has fueled curiosity for new instruments and layers in building loop recordings such as mandolin, violin, melodica, bass. 2012-2014, In a small town at the base of Washington’s Cascade mountain range Nick recorded sessions with piano and guitar. Starting in 2020, layering these sounds over live looping drives soundscape and creative melodic discovery through improvisation.

Loop Sessions

Live looping began as a venture in curiosity and quickly became a vehicle for developing melodic phrasing, timing, bass fingering, and unlearning scales. As a non-traditionally taught guitarist, improv looping exercises push developing melodies by ear as opposed to scale/mode.

Bosso Electrics Projects

Taking things a part to see how they work was a early endeavor. Working in his fathers electrician shop fed that need, sometimes impractcal creations came with broken parts and blown fuses. From making unique light rigs for band performances to restoring old radios with modified aux jacks, connecting to materials with a rich history brings a deeper appreciation for each work
